A Side Mystery for the Girl Detective
This piece is based off of the prompt where the writer had to imitate one of the authors whose short story we had read. This is an "insertion" of Kelly Link's "The Girl Detective" story from the book Stranger Things Happen.
The Narcoleptic
This short story was a result of a prompt during a creative writing class (ENGL 2010). We were to write about a character with a serious medical condition.
"Shadow Seeking the Golden Dream – Before the Great War"
This is one of the short stories I wrote for a role-playing campaign that I played in. The setting was based off of Wizards of the Coast's Forgotten Realms setting, and the group used a d10 system. The character I played was Gryffin Baenrahel, a Drow (dark elf) priest of Vhaeraun, traveling among one of many other cabals, all followers of Vhaeraun, god of thievery. The group he travels with includes three other Drow: Sserroll, the leader; Durosz, the recent initiate; and Leilani, the only known Drow mage.
Vampire: the Masquerade – The Day After
This short story was for another role-playing campaign for White Wolf's World of Darkness setting – Vampire: the Masquerade. At this point, the setting is California. My character is Jorja, an 18-year-old girl whose obsession with vampire fiction turns frighteningly real when she becomes a vampire. David Lowell, at this point a well-known art critic whose words can make or break an upcoming artist, is a vampire of clan Toreador and is the one who turned Jorja, and as a result of his subtle powers, is able to somewhat manipulate what Jorja does from a very long distance. Jorja is effectively "kidnapped." Her parents, who are not aware of her vampirism and being rather devout Christians, have enlisted the aid of the church; the chief organizer of this search is a "vampire hunter." She finds herself in a whirlwind of events with a number of vampires from other clans. At this point in the game, the players think they have managed to make it at least difficult for David to do anything that would affect Jorja.
Vampire: the Masquerade – Jorja Ghouls Michael
This takes place after the previous story. The characters follow a mysterious trail to find out the history of the one who is trying to hunt all vampires and to figure out if there is any way to defeat him.
