Client Website

My client is Colorado Springs Assets for Youth (CSAY), and here is how I did their design (here). They wanted to do a redesign of their framed website, so basically this new site I created has mostly the same information but better, updated organization and design. The client would like the site to target both youth and adults, and they would like for it to communicate that they are a hub for positive youth development where youths, adults and organizations can get information. The client mentioned that usually the visitors have a specific goal in mind when they are forwarded to their website; however, they know that some my just happen to find the site.

They would like menus instead of the frameset. One of the sites they like for the design is the one for Colorado Legends and Legacies Youth Corps., which uses some Flash but has a navigation menu that can be done with JavaScript. They also told me about the official Girl Scouts of the USA site, to look at the slideshow, though they said the images on the redesign did not have to be the same size as the ones on the Girl Scouts' site. They suggested some bright colors (yellow, royal blue) to go along with the color palette I had in mind (brown and green). They did not have a specific font they wanted to use, but they said whatever looked good as long as it was a "no frills" font. They want some of the images that they sent to rotate while having other images for other pages.
